About the song:
Here's what the band members say before this track plays, btw song is from Hell on Stage Live CD1 recorded in Pratteln, Switzerland video is from Hell on Earth II aka Fire and Blood, part 2 of their 4 part DVD series and originally found in Sign of the Hammer released in 1984, this song is one of the best heavy metal tracks in existance.

Scott Columbus (Bass Guitar): "Guyana is one of those tracks that actually with time sounds better like a fine wine almost, you know the more you play it the better it sounds and and uh we added a few things and it just tightened right up and it's just a fucking incredible track live."
Eric Adams (Lead Vocals): "I do agree with Scott it sounds better live because we involve the crowd. Anytime we involve the crowd in any song we do it's always better."

Why put this into Stepmania or even the 80's mix?
Well I put anything I like into Stepmania regardless of the synching difficulties, and I like this song. It's about a tragedy that occured in Brazil, Guyana with that death cult thing lead by Jim Jones, they drank some poisoned kook-aid to commit suicide. Manowar was however, the shit back in the 80's with many of their best albums in this time period so I took the 80's mix as my personal invitation to release the invasion of Manowar... if only there were more time to work on this I'd have added more tracks.

Graphics:
I'm not big into graphics, just found some simple stuff and combined it. The BG is a mass grave, looked really horrific tho' so added flames, and Jim Jones's pic, and the funniest line of the song yes the chalk w/ black is tacky and intenitonal as if marking a crime scene in chalk, I think it turned out okay not to mention the video kicks on quickly so you don't have to look at it too long.

This song however is really fun to add steps to, it changes tones soo often and seems like a track I'll play over and over again which is impressive for a 7+min song, I'll bet that even if you don't care for metal you'll probably get a kick from this track. I finally got the video added, compressed, and synched the whole simfile is coming together beautifully. I'm definately wanting to get crackin' on more Manowar tunes now, because I'm a Maonwhore been to two of their concerts in small clubs even, their popularity in the States is small, but in European countries they sell out huge stadiums, so I'm greatful that I got to see them soo close up and even hi-five Eric Adams!! I have all their T-Shirts and albums and DVDs, and I'm not really into Heavy Metal, just some Iron Maiden and Hammerfall and mainly Manowar who is still around and planning a new album soon. If you for some reason do decide to go to a Manowar concert, BRING EAR PLUGS, they don't hold the world record for loudest concert for nothing. I'm not into how loud they play, I love the whole battle hymn type atmospheres, stories through audio of battles past, battles to come, and battles raging typically with very mythological themes.

Well quit reading this and play it already, then play it again because it's hard to get bored of and you know you were impressed, then play it two more times because you're a judge and you have to! Note For the judges: StepMania gives higher scores to Long and Marathon songs cuz they take more work, keep that in mind.

Shadowman is probably the only one to read this far, just wanted to let you know if this simfile were a pokemon it would be a Gyarados. It took a long time to evolve, and was not easy, but well worth it. It's really tough, mean, and long, but not one of the super-tough guys who ALL look gay.
